Laundry. When you hear that word. How do you feel? 

There’s  four people in my house and I’m appalled at how much laundry I have each week. Have you seen that meme that’s around about how a Mom gets all the laundry done but then she realizes her family is walking around in clothes of course and therefore it means at days end there will be more laundry in those hampers? Yeah, I feel that deep  
Let’s chat about your Laundry Soap for a second. Ever flipped that bottle over and googled those ingredients on the bottle? I have! You should too! I had a close friend many years ago move back home with her parents and started using their laundry soap which is still currently (and maddeningly if I might add the top seller in the US). She started having these really weird skin rashes all over her body. It was awful, she was itchy and red and just felt awful! They couldn’t figure out what it was…even after many doctors appointments. She switched all of her products. Nothing changed. She was still the red, itchy skin girl  Then, she decided to switch laundry soap to an all-natural option (in fact the one I use) and BAM within days no more red itchy skin! 

The scary part here is that not everyone has a reaction you can see, oftentimes laundry soap chemicals show up differently in our body like in asthma, eczema, autoimmune issues and more.   It’s So freaking annoying to have to read every damn label to make sure what I’m buying isn’t going to cause more harm than good to my families health. If you feel this way too, I got you. I found an easy button in all that reading labels stuff and you I’ll share it with you too here.
Did you know if you live in the European Union, 1328 chemicals are banned. That means they can’t be used in personal care or food products. Here in the good old USA, our government has only banned 11. See something wrong with that? Yep, me too! Are you upset about that? Yep, me too! Let’s feel that fire in our bellies and do something about it!
Wonder why Cancer, Auto-immune issues, allergies and hormone imbalances are so much more prevalent today than even 20 years ago? It’s because our chemical exposure everyday. We eat, use or breathe in chemicals from our food or products used within our homes. Check out the Documentary STINK on Netflix, its eye opening. 
I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life learning and educating on all of this and while I don’t think its for everyone (only those that care about their health 💁) I do believe its something we should all be educated on. However, I know many of us are pressed for time these times which is why I have an easy button on all things Natural Living and wellness that you can educate yourself with and or buying products I’ve fully vetted and trust to use on myself and family everyday (this one took me a long time). 
My Easy button on laundry is for everyone. Because while laundry might not be anyone’s favorite chore, it’s gotta be done and we might as well save some of our precious time and money while we do it. 
The only laundry soap I use is Young Living Thieves Laundry Soap, its cost effective, comes right to my door and more importantly, its non-toxic. Here’s how you can get yourself some.

One of the zillion reasons I love this is because its super concentrated that means a little goes a long ways. In fact, I make 3, 32oz bottles of laundry soap out of the one 32 oz bottle that comes right to my door. How’s that for saving some money?!? Oh yeah and I only use one pump for each load. Here are the 32 oz pump bottles I use, 

Everything we use in our household, including laundry soap gets into our body. How many of us wash our clothes in chemicals that we cannot pronounce?
Separate your laundry soap equally into (3) 32oz pump bottles.
Bonus* Add 2 capfuls of Thieves All-purpose Household Cleaner to each for extra cleaning power!! You can also add 10-15 drops of purification or lavender!!
Fill (slowly) with water, gently shake until evenly distributed.
Use 2-5 pumps per large load.
(That’s $7.80 per bottle - ~64 loads each, which means one bottle of the Thieves laundry detergent can do up to 192 loads after diluting! 😱

Can’t beat it that price anywhere, plus it's 100% safe for you and your family! Total win.

Meal Planning Cheat Sheet for Busy Moms everywhere

Eating real food isn’t complicated at all. Keep it simple. You don’t have to be a culinary chef in the kitchen. You don’t have to buy everything fresh. Who told you that you had to put so much pressure on yourself for every meal to be 5 star quality? 
I hear from busy Mom’s all the time that they can’t research another recipe and spend time and money on ingredients only to find their family won’t eat it. I understand. There is nothing more frustrating than planning a meal, buying the food, preparing it, dirtying dishes and then it’s not a hit with your toddlers and hubby. Been there girlfriend and I still find myself there from time to time now. But, using these tips, dinner is almost always a hit in our house. 
Real Food can be simple. Don’t overcomplicate it. Just because your Mom hand made rolls and breads, doesn’t mean you have to (although I know these are fabulous). 
 Here’s some tips how to meal plan.
Leftovers are key. Don’t like leftovers? Learn to  Seriously though, if you don’t like leftovers try putting a twist on them. Adding some additional veggies some dump ranch LINK, an egg or two to it. Something to change it up if you can’t stomach leftovers. Try really hard to learn how to like them, because it’s a lot easier because then you don’t have to cook every meal, instead you can batch meals  
Batching meals for the week ahead is essential. I like to take a look at our family calendar and see how many nights we will need quick on the go dinners. Then, I make sure I prep those ahead of time. 
Protein is typically the hardest nutrient for us to get into our bodies and yet one of the most important. So, I always recommend when planning ahead of time to ensure you have enough protein cooked or prepared ahead of time for on the go or quick eating. Protein are your lean meats (I swear by buying meat only from here because of their sustainability and standards)
Nuts, etc that are so vital to supporting your body in muscle mass and keeping you feel full and satisfied. 
I’ve created a cheat sheet meal plan recipe list for you and I’m calling it my 1234 method of easy meals for the Modern Day Busy Mom. You can use this for yourself using foods that you will like and fit for your family! This will you a great variety of macronutrients of whole foods; Protein, Carbs, Vegetable and Fat. Easy Peasy.

How to avoid stress this holiday season without feeling guilty

Ah the Holiday Season, are you a lover of this season? Or do you fall in the Overwhelmed and Stress of the Holiday Season? Today, I'm going to share my top tips on how to thrive in this season including my favorite things to manage stress! Let's leave the overwhelm and stress behind us and thrive in this Holiday Season!

1. Let's get crystal clear on what you want out of this Holiday Season, is it to have your shopping done before Christmas Eve? Is it to hire out the cooking this year for Christmas dinner? Don't overthink what your goals are this Holiday Season, they are your goals, no one elses so don't judge yourself about it. Often times we fall victim to the pressures society puts on us especially during the Holidays. But, guess what, this is your life, no one else can live it for you. So, you get to do what you want :) Just remember that this Holiday Season. 

2. Once you have your goal for this Holiday Season, make a plan and get after it! If you want all your Holiday Shopping to be done prior to Christmas Eve and you buy 50 gifts. You need to buy roughly 2 gifts a day for the first 23 days in December. Then your shopping will be done! How easy does that sound? Whatever your goal is, break it down into much smaller actions. This is helpful because it allows your brain and body to see how doable the action really is. Buying 2 gifts a day is easy but 50 gifts in 2 days is a lot. How do you feel thinking of just having to buy 2 gifts a day? Like you got it in the bag, right?!? Yep!

3. Set expectations with your family. If this is your first Holiday Season and you're making changes to accommodate a better life for you during this time of year,  some people might resist the change. But, hey, again, this is about you. Let it roll if Aunt Linda makes a snide remark because you had dinner catered this year to support a small business and get some stress off your back. Or better yet, ask her if she'd like to cook next year, as you'd be happy to eat her delicious meal instead of the one your fabulous caterer made (who is a 5 star chef by the way :) )

4. Give yourself some grace. If this is your first Holiday Season and you're making changes to accommodate a better life for you during this time of year,  you're bound to experience some bumps in the road. No worries though, remember to give yourself grace. Everything will be all right and next year maybe you'll need to pivot again and ease some additional overwhelm you recognize this year during your busy holiday season!

5. Tools. Give me all the tools. I use these stress relief techniques in everyday life but during the Holiday season its no secret I run to them a lot more! My go to favs are listed below and trust me this work within minutes when the stress, overwhelm and anxiousness can get to be too much.

My Fav Stress Relief Techniques and Tools:

 Stress Away Oil: oh hello. It says it all in the name. Stress Away. Stress get the heck outta here, bye! I rub this along my wrists, behind my ears and across my chest. Or just inhale from the bottle for sweet stress relief!

Peace and Calming Roll On: Well this one says it all too. Need a little Peace? Need a Little Calm? This has you covered. Plus this baby rolls on super easy. Pop the top and roll on your wrists, up your spine or bottoms of feet for an amazing smell and promote feelings of peace. Ahhh sweet peace. Bonus this works amazingly well for toddler tantrums...don't ask me how I know, but I know :)

Meditate: Does it seem hokey? It might if you've never done it but let me tell you this trick alone has given me more peace this year than anything else. In fact, I might go as far to say as its given me the freedom I've experienced this past year. Freedom in certainty. That I am doing and am right where I need to be. Meditate for at least 15 minutes a day. Get in a quiet dark place and go to YouTube and do a guided meditation. Here's how you can use one of my favorite ones I do almost everyday.
