Stress Relief Activities for Spring

Do you know the number 3 cause of disease in our Country is stress? Say what?!? And stress is 100% preventable. The top causes of poor health are stress, sugar and (lack of) sleep. And all of these are preventable. So, let’s work on getting these under control ok. We want to feel better so we can LIVE more.

Today we are going to talk about stress relieving activities for Spring. We live in the frigid north so by the time Spring comes around we can’t wait to get things cleaned up from Winter and get outside. Spring is my favorite season for a multitude of reasons; my birthday is in the Spring, Winter is long in our state and we don’t get enough sunshine, plus there’s just something about those gorgeous flowers that come in in Spring. Tulips anyone?

Spring also means we can get outside. And grounding with the Earth leaves us feeling calm and peaceful. A feeling each one of us wants more of. How can you integrate getting outside more this spring to reduce your stress level?

Move your body. Longer days mean more time for ourselves. Get outside and move your body. We’ve often been cooped up inside so it’s time to get out and enjoy the longer, sunnier day and move. Moving your body increases endorphins which makes us feel better, So, go girl go! I’ve shared before but there is a direct correlation for me when I’m feeling stressed and anxious that the more movement I  do in a day or harder movement (running, biking, HIIT, etc) the better I feel!

Eat Whole Foods. Remember what I said about over consumption of Sugar being one of the top reasons for disease? So eye opening, isn’t it? When you’re feeling extra stressed, limit your sugar intake. Sugar plays into feelings of stress and anxiousness and then our bodies crave more making it a sick circle of more and more sugar and more and more stressed feelings. Instead of eating refined sugar, try incorporating real sugar from fruits into your diet. You might notice a detox Period of when you come off the refined sugar but the added benefits I  promise will be way worth it!

Get enough sleep. When we are feeling highly stressed in might be hard to turn off our brains and sleep each night. I get it. I’ve been there. But sleep is so important to allow our body that restorative rest it needs to function for the next day and regulate our body systems. If you’re having a hard time shutting off your brain at night here’s a few suggestions on how to fall into easy, peaceful sleep!
    1. Read a book before bed
    2. Limit screen time (tv and phone 30 minutes before bed)
    3. Take a bath before bed. I love to take an epsom salt bath with my favorite essential oils
        4. Listen to a meditation of guided sleep

And last but certainly not least, one of my favorite things to incorporate into my life that have made a HUGE difference in my stress and anxiety level is….Meditation. There are tons of guided meditations out there that you can use on YouTube but some of my favorites are those my Abraham Hicks and Dr. Joe Dispenza.

What are some of your go-to tips for relieving stress? I’d love to hear them below and share with my Mama Community after all, we are all in this together. We want to feel better so we can LIVE more.

All of us Mamas gotta stick together, we are all in this together and it takes a community to raise our babies and ourselves. Remember to treat yourself well!

Growing your Biz + Income on Social Media; Momtrepeneurs Mastering Social Media in 3 hours a week

Let’s talk growing your social media and leveraging the weekly curated post examples I  created specifically for Momtrepeneurs who are growing a thriving business using social media. I built my first business,  using only social media and took my following from 0 to 68,000 followers in six months. It was a lot of work, and it left me feeling overwhelmed and burn out, when it was all said and done. Since then, I’ve spent time working with business owners who message me daily on how to replicate the success in their following like I  have built for myself.

One of the main questions I always get for everyone from everyone as I don’t know what to post and so in the Modern Social Mama course that I created, I give away a list of 14 topics that you can post on each week that you just pull from Inc. you create your own post customize to you using these topics. It makes posting so simple. And I teach you lots of tips and tricks how to speak to your ideal clan on social media build relationships, and convert a conversation to an actual sale!
One of these weekly post recommendations is a value add post, and that’s we’re gonna talk about now. Value add posts are so important and the reason behind them is so people see you giving free value to them and that’s important to them. The value add you want to give is something that’s tailored to your ideal client. In my case for example it would be a mom a mom tip. I would give a post for example that would say hey moms pro tip the cat and Jack pants at target with the reinforced knee have a guarantee on them, so you can take them back if your boy gets a hole in them after the first wear đŸ¤£ (speaking from experience). Be sure to follow me for mom tips as us Mamas gotta stick together!

This is a value add post because I gave them something for free that’s helpful to them, here’s a few other examples for who I serve: a healthy cookie recipe, a easy quick school night dinner recipe, a coupon code etc. These are all Value add posts or posts that give value to your audience at no cost to them!  These are crucial because you want them to come to you and see you as the expert. You're building your expertise with them  in lots of things. This allows them to get to know you as a friend and so when you give free advice, free value to people and expect nothing in return they keep looking to you for advice and that’s exactly what we’re doing we’re building your brand on social media!

Think about it, I’m sure there are people you follow who give you value daily and it cost you nothing and yet you are always following them looking at their stories looking at their posts, that’s exactly what we’re doing but we’re just tailoring it to your audience and you’re writing it!

A value add post I recommend is included weekly in your weekly content posting schedule and I break this all down for you. When you’re a curating your weekly schedule for posting, or should I actually recommend you do a month at a time, if you’re in my modern social Momma course, which you should be if you’re trying to build a business on social media and you want to track your ideal clients and customers so you can live your dream life and use social media to cash those checks and then it’s for you. The modern social mama Thomas is using social media for three hours a week or less to dynamically up level your business. I teach you what to post, by getting you a 14 different examples of weekly try to contact you should cycle through to reach your ideal audience. This is all customized to you using your voice and your words so that your ideal client sees it and hears it and connects with you. Social media is a great while you to build relationships, and therefore your business. Because I’m a firm believer in whatever business you’re in you need to build relationships for it. This is why brands and influencers build a community and an audience that no matter what they’re selling their community buys it and that’s exactly friends what I teach you in the Modern Social Mama.

And the best thing about value-add post in my opinion is they’re easy and they speak for themselves so be sure to include quotes in part of your weekly posting schedule. If you need more inspiration and health and growing a thriving business leveraging social media all without the overwhelming burn out of all the ends and outs of social media be sure to join the Modern Social Mama, where I break down exactly how to do social media in a way that puts money in your pocket where you’re creating relationships with your ideal client all while mastering social media in less than three hours a week. Since then, I’ve spent time working with business owners who message me daily on how to replicate the success in their following like I  have built for myself.

Today let’s talk about a curiosity post. Curiosity post are posts that are crucial for everybody to include in their social media. These are so pivotal because they allow your audience to take interest in your product. In a world where we are being pitched and sold everything all the time the average consumer often gets overwhelmed. But, here is where we are going to be different! We create curiosity instead of telling our audience exactly the product or service we’re selling or what we’re doing to help solve an issue. You create curiosity in a post and  guess what your audience wants to know what it’s about and they are 80 times more likely to jump in when you allow them to essentially opt in and ask you about your post due to curiosity.

A curiosity post I recommend is included weekly in your weekly content posting schedule and I break this all down for you in the Modern Social Mama Course.
So when you’re a curating your weekly schedule for posting, or should I actually recommend you do a month at a time, if you’re in my modern social Momma course, which you should be if you’re trying to build a business on social media and you want to track your ideal clients and customers so you can live your dream life and use social media to cash those checks and then it’s for you. All right let’s get back to the Deets of the curiosity post… when you’re doing this once a week the most important thing you wanna do in a curiosity post is to give people you want people to be curious based on the product or your service so here’s an example on how to do this: I post a picture of me holding a product or talking specifically about my service but creating curiosity because I want people to ask me either in the comments or DM me and say what is the are using or what is it that you’re doing?

Let me give you an example: I used to drag at 3 PM and have to nap every afternoon, and that is every mom‘s worst nightmare who has 1 million things on our to do list and whose kids are awake during the 3 o’clock hour, what’s a mom to do? Well I had two choices; nap and rest my body or guzzle down a pot of coffee which wasn’t healthy… Now since I started incorporating this new gold in my life my friend introduced me to- I thrive at the 3 PM hour and there’s no longer any nap time for me. And I don’t even drink coffee anymore-this is mom life and I am living my Best in it! Cheers to all you Moms!

See how I shared information in that example that left you curious, right? I guarantee if you’re  a mom you wanna know what I’m doing right because you also are tired at 3 PM and you also have no time to nap. So when I post something like that with a picture of me who is now thriving at 3 PM I’m gonna get a bunch of messages or a bunch of comments saying what are you doing and where can I find that? And that’s a curiosity post done right! So, drop your curiosity post below for a chance for me to review it and give you feedback.

And the best thing about curiosity post in my opinion is they’re easy and they speak for themselves so be sure to include quotes in part of your weekly posting schedule. How to move from distraction to action in minutes!

Feeling a little uncomfortable today? Feel like there's so much out of your control?

Yep, there is but you know what, there always will be.

But you know what else? Despite what's out of your control, there are always many things IN your control.

You control your attitude and how you decide to spend your time and energy.

It's a shift that regardless of what's happening in the world around you at any given time-it can give you a sense of peace, and control.

More than ever, its important to take care of yourself-to focus on you. Who YOU want to be. For your spouse, your kids, your friends, your community.

You'll never ever regret investing in yourself. And I'm not talking about a pretty Louis Vuitton bag. While that's a great kind of investment- I'm talking more about an investment in yourself, committing to yourself to prioritizing yourself first. Putting ourselves first for many of us is a very big change.

I'm going to share how one investment can have a lasting impact on your Busy Mom Life every day moving forward.

Let me introduce you to Callie. She lives in Michigan, has an incredible family and the most adorable little boy!

She did not think her life could be anything but revolved around being a Mom. She just went through the motions and loved every second of it but also couldn't help feeling the overwhelm and stress that came away from always being a Mom and all that entails instead of Callie, also a Mom. She was so busy just getting through her day instead of thriving in it!

But, the thing about getting through our day is we all have the same 24 hours in our day and we can either spend it thriving and being the boss of our day or letting our day be the boss of ourselves. And as a busy mom, we need all the hacks we can get for this Mom Life.

Long story short, not only did Callie completely transform her day, her confidence after we worked together, soared-and one of her favorite parts of the day is now Her TIME.

"I had a conversation with my Mom where I told her it's time for me to start putting myself first and she said, I never did that and I got through Motherhood and all it entails. But Mom, that's just it, you got through it, I don't want to just get through it. I want to thrive in it".

"I'm so grateful for this experience. The way I get excited about my day and practically jump out of bed in the morning with a new found love and joy for life. Even my co-workers comment on how many cups of coffee I've had since I'm always just happy. But the truth is, I've only had one little cup. This is just me now, and I love it".

When I watch Callie on social media, I see her so happy and confident and so successful- totally owning her life in motherhood. I've seen her confidence completely transform. Of all the things in the world right now-Callie is controlling how she feels and presents herself to the world. And that my friends is incredible.

So, now I wanted to ask you-what's holding you back from investing in yourself-from prioritizing yourself?

Maybe you feel you don't have time? Or that is just isn't that important? You're unhappy with the way you look so you're wanting to lose weight before you invest in you?

Or maybe you're not sure what that would even look like and where you should start to invest in yourself?

And if you're ready to just take control of your day for you, your family and your life and how you feel-we'd love to have you!
